Job description, responsibilities and duties

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong technological background who has managed to transform their potential into a managerial role. However, we’re not just looking for a manager – we’re seeking a hands-on individual who is passionate about technology, stays up to date with the latest Tech trends, and has a strong visionary outlook. As one of three members of our C-level management team, you will participate in shaping our future direction!

In just 8 years, we’ve grown from a Slovak startup to an established company with an international presence and over 100 team members in Slovakia. Today, we’re one of the top 3 leaders in our industry worldwide.

We’re currently experiencing dynamic, positive changes, with great potential for continued growth, partly driven by our new international partnership. However, our goal is to maintain flexibility in our solutions and ideas, and both our company culture and structure demonstrate that we are by no means a corporation. Our Tech department currently consists of 15 members, and includes development, testing, and data analysis.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Participating with other C-level managers and representatives from the parent company in the company’s business strategy
  • Focusing on understand business domain and define technology strategy for the company in alignment with it
  • Gaining a deep understanding of our product solutions from an architectural perspective, with a focus on further development
  • Leading the Tech department and fostering collaboration and productivity towards designing and implementing business and product capabilities in the platform.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to team members, solving complex technical problems through mentoring
  • Supporting the professional growth of Tech department members, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and creating personalized development plans for individual members
  • Leading technical hiring, ensuring alignment with cultural values, performance expectations and team collaboration
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of Tech projects and high-quality outputs
  • Collaborating with project management to establish standards and procedures for tracking and measuring the progress of Tech projects
  • Identifying high-risk areas of ongoing Tech projects and existing SW solutions, and proposing ways/measures to mitigate risks
  • Overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of technical documentation
  • Providing clear insights to stakeholders within the company on prioritizations, engineering prioritization deliverables and impacts on processes and performance
  • Identifying new technologies and tools as opportunities for innovation and growth
